Wellness Checks - Release Date: 10/7/2026
You can now run wellness checks when taking custody of students in Point of Care
Setting it up
Head to K2 → Configuration → Schools, where you'll find a new Wellness Survey tab. Turn on the feature by adding one or more statements and saving them.
A note on phrasing: nothing is required, and no statement has to be marked one way or another; that's left up to each school. Staff mark a statement as true (tap it) or leave it unchecked/false. So how you phrase a statement matters:
- "No Fever (100.4°F / 38°C or higher) within the last 24 hours" → staff should mark this true
- "No Fever (100.4°F / 38°C or higher) within the last 24 hours" → staff should leave this false (unchecked)
Using it in POC
When staff take students into custody, a Wellness Check dialog now appears, pre-selected with the kids being taken into custody and showing the full statement list.
- Tap statements to mark true/false.
- Scroll to leave any comments regarding the wellness check
- To apply the same answers to all selected kids, leave everyone checked. To vary answers by kid, uncheck the others and repeat; this works the same way notes do.
- Tap Continue when done.
If any selected kids are still missing a check, POC will show the dialog again for just the remaining kids, indicating how many are missing. This repeats until every kid has a check. On the final Continue, POC creates the wellness notes and takes custody; kids move to the custody side of the screen, and a snackbar confirms everyone's in.
Wellness Notes
Wellness checks are a new note type, so parents get notified just like any other note. You can view them in Classroom web and in POC.
In the Notes panel, look for a new Heart icon; that's the Wellness Note type. Switch to it to see the statement list plus an optional notes field, and apply it to one or more students like any other note type. Tap into a note to view it; staff can edit or delete wellness notes as needed.
The Student view in KT School will also display the wellness check status.
Failed Credit Card Payments via Insights- Now Available
A new page in the Insights Payments Export gives you visibility into credit card payments that didn't go through, so you can quickly spot failed transactions, see which accounts are affected, and decide if follow-up is needed.
The tab formerly called "Details" is now called Account Payments.
The data table gives you transaction-level detail, meaning every failed credit card payment across your organization, one row per failed transaction, with full context to act on.
Two columns are worth calling out for prioritizing follow-up:
- Account Autopay Status: shows whether autopay is currently enabled on the account, so you know if the failure is likely to recur.
- Successful Payment After: flags whether a successful payment came in after the failed attempt, so you can separate accounts that already self-resolved from ones that still need outreach.
You can filter using the slicers at the top of the page: Account/Customer, Transaction Identifier, Successful Payment After, Account Autopay Status, and Payment Method.
