Contacts are defined as primary or authorized within Kangarootime. A Primary Contact has full permissions over the account, and an Authorized Contact can be granted specific permissions, such as dropping off and picking up students, viewing activities, or billing privileges. When a contact already exists in Kangarootime, administrators can add the existing contact to an account. A business may also allow parents to add Authorized Contacts to an account through KT Connect; however, to avoid duplicate contacts, Primary contacts are unable to add individuals who are already in the system.
How to Add an Existing Contact to an Account
- Select Families from the navigation menu
- Select Accounts
- Choose and select the account you want to add the contact to
- Select +Add Contact
- Select the checkbox labeled Add Existing Contact
- Type the contact's name into the search bar
- Select the correct name from the drop-down menu
- Select Continue
- Choose and select Relationships and appropriate Account Permissions for the Student(s)
- Select Save
