Many childcare businesses require staff to ask contacts standardized health questions about their child(ren). Kangarootime has simplified this process by giving admins the ability to create statements to be asked by staff and answered by contacts when taking custody to ensure each child is healthy and able to attend.
Note: When creating your questions for the Wellness Check, please be sure you are using "I Agree/True or False" statements. For example, you would ask "No Fever (100.4°F / 38°C or higher) within the last 24 hours" instead of "What is the child's temperature?" We recommend phrasing questions as TRUE or AGREE statements so staff can mark a statement as true (tap it) or leave it unchecked/false.
Example:
"No Fever (100.4°F / 38°C or higher) within the last 24 hours" → staff should mark this true if no fever
"No Fever (100.4°F / 38°C or higher) within the last 24 hours" → staff should leave this false (unchecked)
Please note that nothing is required, and no statement has to be marked one way or another; that's left up to each school.
How to Set Up Wellness Checks:
- Click Configuration
- Click Schools
- Select the school you'd like to create a Wellness Check process for
- Click the Wellness Survey tab
- Click the Add Statement button
- Write one or more statements to be confirmed by staff when taking custody
- Click Save
