Kangarootime's dynamic autopay feature will adjust an automatic payment amount during a billing cycle. A manual payment, partial payment, or credit adjustment applied to a family's Latest Bill will reduce the autopayment amount withdrawn and pay the remaining statement balance.

Autopay Overview
Families who enroll in autopay authorize their billing invoices to be paid automatically on the due date using the payment method provided during enrollment or through the KT Connect app. A payment method must be entered in the family's account before an invoice is sent to initiate autopay. Once authorized, a family cannot disable autopay; however, they can update a payment method in KT Connect or through the KT Connect payment web portal.
How to View if Autopay is Enabled
- Select Families> Accounts from the navigation menu
- Search for the account you wish to view
- Select the Billing tab on the Family's Account page
- Select History and locate the Autopay tile information
Accounts that do not have autopay enabled will have a message under the Autopay Information stating autopay has not been set up on the account.
Accounts with autopay enabled will display the date the autopay is scheduled to run under the Autopay tile information.

Manual Payments and Autopay
Families with autopay enabled may apply a manual payment of any amount to their account. The remaining balance will then be processed through the account's saved autopayment method.
Manual Payment Examples:
- Full Payment - A bill is sent on Friday and due Monday for $40.00. A parent manually pays $40.00 on Saturday. The account has a balance of $0.00. Autopay will not withdraw any funds from a parent’s autopay ACH or Credit Card on file.
- Partial Payments - A bill is sent on Friday and due Monday for $40.00. A parent manually pays $20.00 on Saturday. The account has a balance of $20.00. Autopay will withdraw $20 from the parent’s autopay ACH or Credit Card on file.
Administrators may apply a manual payment to a family's Latest Bill by selecting the Add Payment button from the Billing History Screen.

Manual Itemized Bills and Autopay
Manual Itemized bills can be created in Kangarootime. A manual Itemized Bill sent to a family before a scheduled due date will disable autopay. A parent’s autopay ACH or Credit Card on file will not have a payment withdrawn for the regularly scheduled bill.
Example: A family is billed on the 1st of the month for tuition with a due date of the 15th.
The school adds a $20.00 field trip activity charge on the 12th of the month and sends the family a Manual Itemized Bill. Autopay is temporarily disabled because issuing a manual bill interrupts the autopayment cycle. The parent must make a manual payment for both invoices, and autopay will resume in the next billing cycle.
Depending on your billing cycle and the manual amount charged, a business may want to wait until the regularly scheduled bill is paid before issuing a manual bill. Additional information on billing cycles is available in the Overview of Itemized Billing.
Future Transactions
Credits or charges with a current or future effective date must be applied via the Billing > Activities page. These amounts remain in the To Be Billed status until the specified date and are processed within the corresponding billing cycle.
