In Kangarootime's School Module, Administrators can view ratios in real time because the system identifies which classrooms have staff present as well as children actively in care.
Why This Matters:
- Compliance. By understanding what the staff-to-child ratio is in a classroom at all times, Administrators can ensure that they remain compliant with state child care laws, which often require that a certain number of Care Takers are in the room with children at all times.
- Security. Administrators can view the of all children that are currently at your center. By clicking into the class itself, the system provides a list of all children in care against the roster to ensure that everyone is accounted for.
- Enrollment and Staff Management. An out-of-ratio classroom may be a sign that it is time to split up the children, or hire another Care Taker to remain compliant and have balanced classrooms.
How To View Class Ratios in Real Time:
- In Kangarootime, head to your Black Navigation Bar and select the School Module, which is the second icon down from the top.
- Within your School Module, select Classes
- Select Options to filter out empty classes or groups
- Click into the class for a list of children, or toggle between the In Care list and Roster
