Kangarootime's School Module provides the complete age range for students currently enrolled in each class.
Why This Matters:
- Classroom Management. Administrators will want to ensure that they are assigning classrooms according to licensing requirements, state ratios, and staff availability.
- Identify Age Up Opportunities. When a child is eligible to age up, this creates a space in a younger classroom, which can be helpful for managing a waitlist and enrolling more families.
- Optimize Learning and Social Dynamics. Keeping classroom age ranges close together allows for developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day as well as better social opportunities for the children.
How to Identify Your Class Age Range:
- In Kangarootime, head to your Black Navigation Bar and select the School Module, which is the second icon down from the top.
- Within your School Module, select Classes
- Select your class
- On the righthand side, you will find a list of children In Care as well as on the class's Roster. This list will indicate the youngest age in the class as well as the oldest age in the class. Each child on that list will have their age in years and months listed below their name
