In the event a family is eligible for a reduced tuition fee (military discount, sibling discount, employee discount, etc.), Kangarootime allows you to apply the discount to an account or specific children within the account. This provides flexibility to ensure that all discounts are applied properly and the bill is reduced correctly.

How to Apply a Recurring Discount to an Account
- Select Families from the navigation menu
- Select Accounts
- Select the Account Name
- Select the Billing tab located within the account
- Select Discounts
- Select +Apply Discount button
- Select a Start Date
- The start date of the discount for a weekly billing schedule must be the Sunday of the beginning discounted week. The start date for a monthly billing schedule should be the 1st of the month.
- Select the discount name from the drop-down menu
- Select if the discount should be applied to the account or the individual child(ren)
- Applying the discount to an individual child/student will apply the discount amount to their respective tuition fee.
- Applying the discount to an account will apply the discounted amount to all tuition fees.
- Select Save
Once you have applied the discount, it is best practice to preview the Next Bill on the family's billing history screen to ensure the discount amount and overall amount due are as expected.
How to Apply a Manual Discount to a Transaction
- Select Families
- Select Accounts
- Select the Account Name
- Select the Billing tab located within the account
- Select Activity
- Locate the transaction that needs to be discounted
- Select the down arrow button
- Select the Add New Discount button
- Select the discount within the drop-down menu
- Select Save
Once you have applied the discount, it is best practice to preview the Next Bill on the family's billing history screen to ensure the discount amount and overall total due amount are as expected.
