Kangarootime provides a unique method of copying child and contact information from one center to another, in the event that a family attends both centers in some capacity, OR is moving from one center to another. Keep in mind, this action requires access to the center the child currently attends and the center they'll attend in the future. If you do not have access to one or the other, please reach out to the Kangarootime Administrator of your business or the Kangarootime support team to have this task done for you.
How to Move One Child to a Different Center
Before moving the child to the new center, the current enrollment contract should be end-dated.
- From the homepage, click Families
- Click Accounts
- Click the Add Account button
- Select the Center the child will be transferred to
- Click the Add Existing child checkbox under Child Information - this step will autofill the child's information
- Click the Add Existing Contact checkbox under Primary Contact - this step will autofill the contact information
- Select the Relationship to Child
- Enter an Account Name
- Click Save
The above steps will associate the contact with multiple centers while also placing the child at the new center via a new account.
Please note: This process only copies basic information. The information that is NOT copied to the new center includes: contracts, billing information, and balances. Once complete the family is treated as having two separate accounts. If you have permission for both centers, you will see these accounts as separate entries on the Families > Accounts screen.
