State subsidy programs that use the KinderConnect integration may require a parent or staff photo verification and/or a digital signature during the student check-in/out process. Kangarootime supports these requirements by capturing photos, signatures, and attendance data through its attendance features and transmitting this information directly to KinderConnect.

How to Configure Digital Signature and Photos for Check in/out
Important Note
- Verification photos and signatures are transmitted to KinderConnect and are not available for viewing within the Kangarootime platform.
- Once enabled, all subsidy-qualified and non-qualified subsidy families will be required to submit a photo and/or signature to check in or check out their student.
Available Verification Options
- Parent Signature - Requires a parent or guardian to provide a digital signature at check-in and/or check-out supported through the Kiosk and KT Connect apps.
- Staff Signature - Requires a staff member's signature at check-in and/or check-out supported through the Point of Care app and Business modules. Ideal for before and after-school programs where a parent or guardian is not present during attendance transactions.
- Photo -Captures a photo of the parent, guardian, or staff member completing the check-in or check-out process.
- Location Verification -Records the device's location each time a check-in or check-out occurs. Location verification is supported through the Kiosk app.

- Select Configuration
- Select Schools
- Select the school requiring photos and/or signatures
- Select Policies
- Toggle ON the required features based on your state subsidy program
