School directors and office administrators can communicate with parents and guardians through the Kangarootime Connect app (KT Connect) using either Announcements or the Account Messaging feature.
Announcements are one-way messages designed to share important information, such as school closures, field trip reminders, or other updates that do not require a reply.
Account messaging is a communication channel that allows all authorized parents and guardians to view messages from the school or center, reply to a communication, or initiate new messages directly with the center. All Primary Contacts on the account can view and respond to the messages within the family's account channel, and any administrator with appropriate permissions can view and respond to the channel.
In-class messaging is available through Kangarootime's Point of Care app. Please refer to the article Student Messaging Overview for more information.
Please Note: Account messages are automatically sent to the Primary Contacts listed on a family's account. Parents can choose to have announcements and messages sent to Authorized Contacts. Please speak with your center director if you have any questions about which contacts on your account can receive messages.

- Select the Messaging Tile
- Select Announcements
- View messages by date and time posted

- Launch the KT Connect App
- Select the Messaging Tile
- Select My Account
- View message
- Use the text field to respond if need be
All Primary Contacts and Authorized Contacts (with Messaging permissions) may reply back to the Account message
How to Enable Push Notifications
- Launch the KT Connect App
- Select the three-bar Hamburger menu located in the Kangarootime banner
- Select Settings
- Locate the Permissions Section
- Swipe the Push Notifications Slide bar to the ON position
