Requesting time off can be done quickly and efficiently in Kangarootime!  See below for a step-by-step walkthrough regarding submitting a time off request, editing a submitted request, and canceling your request.

How To Request Time Off

  1. Log into the Kangarootime site
  2. Click your name next to your profile picture
  3. Click My Time Off
  4. Click the Request Time Off button located under your name and profile picture
  5. Enter the duration, date(s), type, and description
    1. Under duration, you'll be presented with three options:
      1. All Day - Select this option if you are asking to take off a single full day
      2. Partial Day - Select this option if you are requesting a half day off
      3. Multiple Days - Select this option if you are requesting a series of days off
  6. Click Save


Once saved, the day(s) you requested off will appear on the time off calendar and the request will be sent to your director who will approve or deny the request.  


Editing a Time Off Request


In the event the duration, date(s), type, or description of your request need to be updated, follow the steps below to make edits to the request.  

  1. From the My Time Off screen, click the day(s) you requested off
  2. Once you've clicked the day(s) you've requested off, a pop-up box will appear with the option to click Edit Request
  3. Once Edit Request has been clicked, you will be able to make the necessary edits to your request
  4. After edits have been made, click Save


Canceling a Time Off Request


If you no longer need the time off you requested, follow the steps below to cancel the request.

  1. From the My Time Off screen, click the day(s) you requested off
  2. Once you've clicked the day(s) you've requested off, a pop-up box will appear with the option to click Cancel Request
  3. Once Cancel Request has been clicked, the request will disappear from your My Time Off calendar and your director will no longer see the request
