We've got lots of enrollment improvements and some new features in messaging!
Fixes
In Point of Care v. 1.1.55, we've fixed an issue where the toileting note input boxes did not clear when saving a new note, and we've also resolved a bug where ending a nap in a Rest Note didn't clear the list of selected children. We've also enhanced the viewing of activity notes - if there's a network issue while fetching new notes, the app will now automatically retry 3 times - and if it still fails you will see the error. Additionally, we've added a safety check for free storage space before taking photos to prevent app crashes. In a previous Point of Care release, we also resolved issues related to inaccurate ratios when a center admin is present in a classroom, deleting of photos with multiple tagged children, Bulletin Board avatars, and Center Overview spacing when multiple children are marked absent.
In KT Workforce Connect v. 1.1.13, some general bug fixes were made to the Kisi door lock settings and clock in status. It's now easier to view open time entries from the past as well as update one's Kisi settings (when or if door locks will be in use at a center).
Improvements
We've been busy in the world of enrollment! We have made quite a few updates surrounding ease of use, clarity of language, and error handling for parents. But we've also added the ability for parents to resume their enrollment process in the KT Connect app! We've added an "Action Required" section on the Manage Enrollments page so that they can pick up right where they've left off on an application. And, when existing subsidy families update their enrollment, the inquiry form now honors the "Ask About Subsidy Eligibility" setting (in the Enrollment > Settings > Offer Settings screen). When that feature is enabled for a center, guardians will see that question on the inquiry form's Select Children page, and if they answer Yes any relevant application fees will be waived.
As far as enrollment functionality for you, we've expanded the options for editing waitlisted inquiries using the enrollment flow to include parent and child names, date of birth, and start date. We've also added some ease of use improvements to the Lead Management pages. And lastly, we've enhanced the permissions around sending enrollment related requests. You won't see any disruption in permissions, but if you want to get a little more granular as to who can send enrollment or updated details requests, you're now able to do so.
Payrix Transaction IDs are now shown in Kangarootime against enrollment inquiries from August 3rd 2023 onwards, to help you cross reference Kangarootime with Payrix should you have a payment concern. Payrix transaction Ids are prefixed with p1_txn_xxxxxxx, which you can see against the Application Fee amount towards the bottom of inquiries that attracted fees.
New Features
Enrollment Program Grouping
Enrolling into your programs is now even easier for your families, with the introduction of program groups! Head to Enrollment > Programs > Program Groups to create and configure your groups, and add one or more programs to each group.
You can decide between two options: If parents enroll in multiple programs within different groups simultaneously, they will either pay a single application fee or separate application fees for each group. In both cases, the application fee will always be based on the highest fee among the selected programs. The setting simply determines whether it is the highest fee of all selected programs or the total sum of the highest application fees within each selected group.
Once you're happy with your groupings, switch "Turn On Groups" to ON, noting that any programs that aren't in a group will no longer be available for guardians to enroll into.
Adding Links & Deleting Messages in Announcements & Account Messaging
Exciting news for messaging lovers - we’ve added the ability to include active links in announcements and account messaging! Now, you can send parents direct, clickable links to any url (or email address) on the web - pointing them towards things like newsletters or resources. The possibilities are endless! And, on the flip side, administrators (with the correct permissions) can now delete announcements and account messages as well. Obviously if a parent has already seen it, we can’t change the past - but deleting will remove the message from their KT Connect app if they try to access it again.
Note: Sometimes the features in our release notes are not visible to everyone. If you want to learn more or if you don’t see some of the above features but believe you should, please reach out to your KT contact personally or to the KT team.
