Delayed Daily Notes, bulk attendance in POC, KT Connect improvements... we've got em all, and more!
Fixes
In the Enrollment tools, there were a couple of mismatched times that were showing for some users thanks to some time zone wonkiness. Those have now been remedied.
We've also fixed a handful of bugs on the Enrollment Form itself. These were mostly just housekeeping items that all together will help you to have a smoother experience when using it (things like optional fields being marked as required and dropdown lists being accidentally empty). The biggest change here is that parents were receiving two emails after completing a re-enrollment form that were causing some confusion. We've now smooshed those into one email stating that they are waiting for their center to review and approve their request.
It was also brought to our attention that, when creating a new primary contact for an account on the web, an error icon was shown for the email address even if it was valid - but then the contact would still be created. That was, of course, rather confusing. Now valid emails will not have an error.
Improvements
Point of Care v 1.1.43 is now out and available for download. This release includes an improvement to the Classroom Overview screen - children are now automatically sorted alphabetically so it should be simple to find any child even in a long list.
We've also got some improvements in KT Connect v 2.6.2! Firstly, the rolling balances that were displayed for parents throughout the app have been replaced with "Amount Due" so parents are more aware of what they actually have due at the moment. And second, we've added a prompt to our onboarding flow to have parents set up their PIN right then and there - so you shouldn't have to badger new parents about it any more!
New Features
Delayed Daily Notes are here! What does that mean exactly? Well, depending on your process at your center, you may wish to delay notes going out to parents until the end of the day. And now you can! If you head over to Business > Settings > Engagement Settings, you'll see we have added a new setting where you can choose to enable delayed notes. In a nutshell, this means that parents will receive all notes logged for their children upon checking them out, rather than in real time. Photos will still flow through to parents as they are taken or approved.
In Point of Care 1.1.43, we've added an exciting new feature - the ability for teachers to move children en masse when teachers are taking or releasing custody of large groups. All you need to do is select multiple children within a class, drag them over, and confirm on the prompt shown below. Easy peasy!
Note: Sometimes the features in our release notes are not visible to everyone. If you want to learn more or if you don’t see some of the above features but believe you should, please reach out to your KT contact personally or to the KT team.
