Lots of new stuff in billing and new releases for Point of Care and KT Connect!
Point of Care v. 1.1.40 is out and contains tons o' bug fixes (happy late St. Patrick's Day). Highlights include: consistencies to note display (my day fixes and a time zone correction to hide notes appearing from the previous day), more improvements to data accuracy (now properly displaying when a child is marked absent on the web and a staff member marks themselves present), and more accurate attendance counts (ratios reflecting current child presence updating when children move between classes).
KT Connect 2.6.1 is also out, but most of the bug fixes are a bit under the covers. Rest assured that your experience will be better because of them!
In the land of billing, you can now choose to waive a late payment fee on a bill that has been generated on a billing cycle that has a late payment fee assigned. If this is chosen prior to the late payment fee generating, then nothing will generate. If this is done after, it will create the reversal transaction for the user.
Billing has also received another improvement - any manually added attendances or drop in sessions that are added for a child outside of a billing cycle will now be automatically charged! This means that you don't have to remember to go back and manually charge a session if it occurred in a period that you've already billed for. This functionality has not been automatically turned on for everyone, so if you are interested or want to learn more about this feature, reach out to your KT contact.
We've got some great news for you if you spend a lot of time looking at transactions in Kangarootime. Our new Transaction Display options are available for you to check out! Essentially, this means that you have more control over how positive and negative numbers appear on transactions. This will affect all screens with transaction amounts as well as any reports. Head over to Billing > Settings > Transaction Display to check it out!
