It's a big one this week! Updates across the board and new features for parents, comin' atcha!
Fixes
It was brought to our attention that folks in Arizona, US don't have to adjust their clocks for daylight savings time - so we've added a time zone just for y'all called "MST Arizona Time."
We also had a little issue where, if you received an error message when creating an account, the account was still created and sometimes duplicated. We've put up some barriers to help prevent that from happening going forward.
When updates were made to information on an account (name, for example), those fields would sometimes get out of sync with other areas of Kangarootime. This has been corrected - you should now see the updated information all over Kangarootime once a change has been made.
In Point of Care v. 1.1.30, a few bugs were ironed out. Namely, the app would freeze if a child is checked in and then their class is archived (now it no longer freezes), deleting a child's check-in time on the web was not updating the app (now it does), and if a child is enrolled today and Point of Care is open, the child wouldn't show in real time in the app (now they do).
Improvements
You may have noticed that our Resource Center icon has taken a little journey - it used to live in the lower right corner of the screen, but has now made its way to a more permanent and less obtrusive home up in the top bar next to the notifications bell.
In our Lead to Booking feature, programs were only listed six months in advance. Based on the feedback we have received, this has now been changed to twelve months. Thank you to everyone who reached out about this! In more Lead to Booking news - staff can now initiate inquiries on behalf of families by going to Lead Management > Add Inquiry.
Along with those updates, on the actual enrollment forms we have added a better experience when an error is made - the page will scroll to the error and highlight it very clearly so folks know what needs to be fixed before proceeding.
In the realm of employee management, you can now delete a time entry for a staff member via their time card. You'll just need to provide a reason for doing so. Once it is deleted, the employee will not see it on their time card and it will not show up in time logs or any reports.
Also, the Center tags that you have set up for your business can now be used to filter the Contacts and Children screens.
New Features
If your center utilized our billing features in 2022, parents will now be able to download their tax statements directly from KT Connect. They just need to go to the upper left menu and select "Taxes." If your parents aren't seeing this option and you believe they should, just let us know!
Our team has also been hard at work creating features that will allow primary contacts (ie parents/guardians) to better understand and manage all of the contacts on their accounts - in particular, who actually has access to pick up their children. Our first feature related to this has been created which allows those primary contacts to simply view a list of all of the contacts on their account and who has pickup permissions for which children.
Right now, this feature is hidden as we are continuing work to eventually allow those primary contacts to actually add and manage the contacts in their list. But if you would like a walkthrough or to turn this feature on for your business, please reach out to your KT contact!
Note: Sometimes the features in our release notes are not visible to everyone. If you want to learn more or if you don’t see some of the above features but believe you should, please reach out to your KT contact personally or to the KT team.
