Highlights include releases to three of our mobile apps (all minus Kiosk) and new additions to permissions and operations!
Fixes
KT Workforce Connect version 1.0.7 is now available in both app stores! Our team has been hard at work squishing a whole slew of bugs related to the QR scanner experience, clock in prompts, text sizing, and multi-day time off requests.
Point of Care version 1.1.14 has also been released. This release specifically addressed making child check-in times sync between your devices more quickly.
And, KT Connect version 2.1.6 is live as well! Now, any Android user on Android 6.0 and up should be able to download the app. This covers roughly 99% of Android users so those of you who had parents with trouble finding the app should see that resolved (99% of the time, at least). We also fixed a bug where the “unlock door” button disappeared for some users (whoops).
Our mobile developers have clearly been working their butts off this week!
Improvements
In our Lead to Booking feature, we have made some updates to how surcharges work. The surcharge settings that you have in place for your whole Kangarootime platform will now apply to application fees collected via enrollment forms, and when viewing the transaction you will see a detailed breakdown of exactly how much of the payment went to the surcharge as well.
We’ve also made some under-the-hood improvements to how we store data, so you’ll begin to notice some improvements to reporting going forward. You might not feel the effects right away, but you definitely will as we continue to improve upon and add reports! This one is a slow burn.
Along with a host of smaller stability and ease-of-use improvements to our billing system, pro-rates have been removed from subsidies to help avoid miscalculations. Going forward, you’ll want to set up partial subsidy periods for your desired time frame with the appropriate adjusted amount instead.
New Features
We’ve added a new permission - Operations! You can now permit (or restrict!) access for different roles to manage various time keeping features including business hours, pay weeks, pay codes, time log locking, and scheduling visibility. You can set this permission via Settings > Roles & Permissions.
“Wait - what’s scheduling visibility?” you might be asking - it’s new too! This feature allows y’all to configure which employee roles you’d like to make available for schedule and time log management at your centers. Check it out at Settings > Operations > Scheduling Visibility.
Note: Sometimes the features in our release notes are not visible to everyone. If you want to learn more or if you don’t see some of the above features but believe you should, please reach out to your KT contact personally or to the KT team.
