Highlights include updates to employee management and new releases for Point of Care (1.1.13) and KT Connect (2.1.5)!
Fixes
When managing your staff schedules, you’ll now see the correct info for their Saturday and Sunday shifts in the time log view. And, in more exciting news, when you change an email for a staff member, it now actually shows up as expected!
When you were making a password for your Kangarootime account, we lied to you (we’re sorry!). We said your password had to be at least eight characters, but it was really nine. It is now actually eight.
Point of Care version 1.1.13 is out with a whole host of fixes. We’ll save you the nitty gritty details but just know that the login experience is improved, the My Day view is working better, and the synchronization of your data should be smoother.
Improvements
We have done and continue to do a lot of work to address both time entry and reporting consistency (for you tech folks out there, we are making improvements to our state management).
We’ve also added a layer of accountability to adding/updating medical conditions for a child. You can now view a full history of any updates made and by whom.
KT Connect version 2.1.5 has seen some improvements, too - it’s now much easier to understand when you (or someone else on your account) has autopay turned on so you never have to second guess if you need to send a payment. We’ve also added a detailed breakdown of any service fees when you’re paying your bill so you know exactly how much you are being charged and why.
New Features
While we’re talking about parents, we’ve added a new feature that should help them (and you)! When you are making an account and/or adding a contact, you’ll see a new nifty little checkbox that will send the contact an email with a link to download KT Connect. Hopefully this will help you get less calls about which of the many Kangarootime apps parents need to download (there’s so many of them).
We’ve added a new permission - Staff Pay Rate! Now you can separate access for editing pay rates for staff from the rest of the employee management system. Now even if your Lead Teacher needs to update the schedule, she can’t give herself an 80% raise.
In Point of Care version 1.1.3, we’ve updated child information so you can easily see their date of birth. We also made a quick change when viewing notes so you can easily differentiate between photos and videos.
Note: Sometimes the features in our release notes are not visible to everyone. If you want to learn more or if you don’t see some of the above features but believe you should, please reach out to your KT contact personally or to the KT team.
