How to Create a Number of Days Fee

This article details how to build a flat rate number of days fee structure in Kangarootime for both session (daily) rates as well as flat rates. This fee structure will suit centers that bill a varying rate for days attended such as (for example) 5 scheduled days of attendance cost $200 per week, whereas 2 scheduled days of attendance cost $65 per week.

How To Create a Number of Days Fee using the Session Fee Type

1. From the home page, click Centers
2. Select Fees
3. Click the +Add Fee button (in the top right corner)
4. When filling out the New Fee form, under Fee Structure, click Number of Days
5. When entering the cost, input the daily amount to be charged based on the number of days attending
   
   • Example: tuition for toddlers is $65/ day if they come 1 day, whereas if they come 2 or more days, attendance drops down to $55/day. 
   • Once enrolled, the child will be charged accordingly based on their schedule (e.g. $65 for one day, or $55/day if enrolled two or more days).
6. Once finished, click Save

How to Create a Number of Days Fee using the Flat Rate Fee Type

1. From the home page, click Centers

2. Select Fees
3. Click the +Add Fee button (in the top right corner)
4. When filling out the New Fee form, be sure to select Flat Rate as the Fee Type
5. Then, under Fee Structure, click Number of Days
6. When entering the cost, input the flat rate (to be charged weekly, monthly, and so forth based on billing cycle) based on the number of days attending
   
   • Example: tuition for toddlers costs $275/week if they attend 4 or more days, whereas tuition for those who attend 3 days or less per week will cost $195.
   • Once enrolled, the child will be charged accordingly based on their schedule (e.g. $275 per week if they attend 5 days, or $195 per week if they attend 3 days, and so forth).

Note: If your 2-day rate is the same as your 3-day rate, you would only need to build a 3-day rate and Kangarootime will make the calculation to apply the 3-day rate to a child who attends only 2 days.
